MEET THE ARTIST WE collaborate WITH.....

In November 2013, Dan and Charlotte Doherty left their jobs, families, and homes with a plan to paint the world. To date they’ve painted 18 street murals in 14 countries, including the Favelas of Brazil, the streets of Buenos Aires, and the hills of Kathmandu. Art + Believe works with local communities, art collectives, and independently to create murals and street art in neighborhoods that need a colorful burst of inspiration.

A visual artist with Creole heritage who explores memory and social history through the lenses of science, philosophy, and religion, Angelbert Metoyer works across various mediums to elicit dynamic conversations on who we are and where we come from. He launches his career through Rick Lowe’s Project Row Houses and has enjoyed solo exhibitions at The Contemporary Austin, Co-Lab Projects, Paul Rodgers Gallery, the African American Museum of Contemporary Art, Dallas, the Dactyl Foundation, New York, and the UC San Diego University Art Gallery, La Jolla, among several others

Color and pattern are captured from new perspectives thanks to one of Mexico’s most prominent illustrators and graphic designers, Paulo Villigran. His unique style can be found on the streets of Central America as well as in campaigns and collateral for Coca-Cola, Sony Music, Crayola, Grupo Bimbo, SEP, and Comercial Mexicana, among many others. Paulo has exhibited his works at MUMEDI (Mexican Museum of Design), MUNAL (Mexican National Art Museum), and Brewery Mexico City. He is also a sought-after lecturer and teacher, leading conferences and workshops around the world.

The painting takes me to a life of freedom of expression, of dreams, full of color that create a unique and magical work, embodied in a canvas that comes alive, it's own life.
